The end of July and the month of August was busy with one trip to Ireland to see Dream Ahead and his first foals. Both father and children were looking great.

There was then a trip to Pau to see Prince Suhail, chez Francois Rohaut, who is progressing as a three year old over a mile and has now earned almost Euro40,000.

There was then the Select Sale at Deauville hosted by Arqana and we were successful in purchasing two smart yearling colts.

The first one (pictured) was a March 2012 colt by Teofilo, the sire of amongst other stakes horses, Parish Hall. His dam, Mulled Wine, has already produced two winners from three offspring of racing age. Her three year old son Cassini was placed second at Deauville since the purchase. Mulled Wine is a Night Shift half sister to Lily Of The Valley a Group 1 winning daughter of Galileo and Listed winner Calbuco. She is from the great family of Josr Algarhoud.

Mark’s second purchase was a January 2012 colt by Orpen, sire of many stakes winners including 2013 Prix Robert Papin winner Vorda. He is a big handsome colt who is very light on his feet. His winning dam is out of Prix du Bois (G3) winning Zelding and therefore is a half sister to G2 winning Beauty is Truth and Listed winner Glorious Sight. Zelding’s granddam is Mill Princess and it is therefore the family of great sire Last Tycoon, as well that of sire Astronef and Immortal Verse.
