Book 3 presented the opportunity for Mark to buy a well bred, sweet filly by Showcasing, an exciting new Stallion.

A May foal, she is a daughter of the winning Dancing Feather who has already produced the Ascot Listed winning Wagtail and Ascot Listed placed Feathers Flying among her eight winning progeny so far. Dancing Feather herself is out of multiple Group winner English Oak who won the Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot (G2). She in turn is the dam Spring Oak (G3) (dam of Castlereagh (L)), Fragrant Hill (L) (dam of Fragrant Mix (G1), Alpine Rose (G1), Fascinating Mix (L), Farfala (L) (dam of Under The Rainbow (L)) and Fralonga (G2 placed).

What is particularly exciting is that this yearling has five winning sisters (two of who are Black Type) who themselves can improve this already impressive pedigree.

The yearling cost just 23,000 guineas and special thanks must go to the pedigree expert James Underwood for pointing us in the right direction.
