Good week for Pelican Key
Pelican Key, who last week had not had a winning offspring until last Friday when the filly Plum Bay, her three year old first foal, came from last to first to score at headquarters on the July Course. Then within a week, her second foal, two year old Jumeirah Moon, broke his maiden convincingly yesterday to make her a perfect mare in respect of winners to runners. Both matings were conceived by Mark Crossman as was that of her yearling by Elnadim. She also has a Hellvelyn foal.
Plum Bay is owned by Mark Crossman and her legendary trainer David Elsworth whilst Jumeirah Moon was bought back for Mr Dasmal by Mark Crossman for £15,000 at the DBS Festival sale as a yearling.
