SHIROCCO STORM a 4 year old by Shirocco ex Narashimha bolted up by four lengths at 63/1 in the Prix du Grand Marais at French Headquarters (Chantilly) yesterday. He won over 14,000 Euros in prize money and premiums. Bought by Mark at the 2009 Paradise Sale in Deauville as a yearling he represents K Dasmal’s third winner of the year after Emerald Winderness’s hatrick in the winter and Hazzard County’s farewell victory for his longstanding connections. This victory is a testament to a great training performance by Rupert Pritchard-Gordon and to the patience of the owner. It is also testament to the skills of the veterinary surgeon Mr J R Brain who looks to have cured a problem with the horses breathing.
